This week, The Jerusalem Post reported that 28 new Hezbollah missile launch sites were uncovered in the heart of Beirut, Lebanon.


The sites are embedded among homes, hospitals, offices and schools.


Hezbollah, Iran’s terrorist army in Lebanon, has a military arsenal stronger than most sovereign states and has threatened to strike strategic sites in Israel with precise accuracy.

Hezbollah is a terrorist organization dedicated to Israel’s destruction.


It receives $800 million annually from Iran, and already possesses advanced weapons designed to inflict significant damage across Israel.


Hezbollah has turned Lebanon’s cities into military compounds, controlling 45,000 troops and an arsenal of some 150,000 rockets and missiles.


At least one out of every four houses in southern Lebanon reportedly hosts a Hezbollah facility. Mosques, hospitals, and schools are also used to shield weapons and terrorist infrastructure.


In 2018, Congress unanimously passed the Sanctioning the Use of Civilians as Defenseless Shields Act—bipartisan legislation lobbied for by AIPAC members—that now mandates sanctions against groups using civilians as human shields or providing support to those doing so.


But as the threats grow, so must our commitment to keeping Israel safe.
