Friend,
I hope this message finds you pausing and enjoying the quiet of the season. As the leaves turn and the holidays approach, I wanted to take a moment to stop thinking about politics and simply focus on gratitude.
For me, being grounded in faith, family, and hard work has always been the foundation of my life. I’m especially thankful for the lessons I learned growing up on that small hog farm near Fontanelle — the grit, the compassion, and the common sense that comes from being connected to the land and to each other.
I am deeply grateful for the community I’ve been a part of my whole life: from my years as a teacher and running a daycare, to my time advocating for those with disabilities. It’s those experiences, and the people I met along the way, that remind me every day what truly matters.
And as I continue to explore a run for Governor, I’m immensely thankful for the hope and passion I’ve heard in the conversations we’ve started. The future of Nebraska is bright because of people like you, friend, who are willing to lean in and believe in decency and solutions.
