Today, I’m writing alongside my mother, Dr. Una S. T. Clarke, to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Before the week gets busy, we wanted to take a moment to reach out, not as elected officials, but as mother and daughter, to give thanks the way our family always has: with a lot of gratitude, a crowded kitchen, and a whole lot of love.
We are thankful for our Brooklyn community. For the neighbors who check in on each other. For the families finding joy even in difficult seasons. For the young people who keep us honest.
We are thankful for this work. It isn’t easy. But it is sacred. And serving our community in Brooklyn remains the honor of our lives.
And we are thankful for you. For your support, your kindness, your notes, your encouragement, and your well-wishes for my birthday last week. Your words meant more than you know.
If you’d like to join us on December 6th for our annual Birthday Celebration, tickets are still available, and we’d love to see you.
From our family to yours, we wish you rest, warmth, and peace.
With Love,
Yvette & Dr. Una S. T. Clarke
