The reports coming out of Charlotte, North Carolina, are horrifying. ICE agents, under the banner of "Operation Charlotte's Web," have descended on neighborhoods, smashing car windows and hauling people away—including American citizens—all in the name of political showmanship.

The fear is real. Businesses are closed. School attendance has plummeted. The administration wants to terrorize communities into silence.

But we are not silent.

We have a Liberty Van on the ground in Charlotte to put a camera and a legal presence between the federal agents and the community. This presence is the difference between a terrifying, unverified incident and a documented violation of decency that we can use to fight back in the court of law and the court of public opinion.
