On Thursday, July 16 at 2pm ET, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and Groundwork Collaborative invite you to: Racial Equity and the Federal Reserve: Centering Black Workers for a Stronger Labor Market ([link removed]) , featuring Raphael Bostic, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, as well as Valerie Wilson of EPI, Jared Bernstein of CBPP, and Janelle Jones of Groundwork Collaborative.
Raphael Bostic, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will speak about how the Federal Reserve can play an important role in helping to reduce racial inequities and bring about a more inclusive economy.
After his comments, Heather Long, economic correspondent for The Washington Post, will join for a Q&A with President Bostic.
Following their conversation, Jared Bernstein of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and Valerie Wilson of Economic Policy Institute, in a conversation moderated by Janelle Jones of Groundwork Collaborative, will discuss a new proposal that the Federal Reserve should focus on lowering Black unemployment rates to strengthen the labor market for all workers.
