John, so much of
why I love Florida (besides the people of course!) is tied to just how
beautiful our state is.
People from across the world know Florida for our beautiful beaches and
crystal blue water. Trump is trying to take that away. He plans to destroy
our ocean and accelerate climate change and destruction by opening our
oceans for oil drilling.
Trump’s newest proposal would open Florida’s coastal waters to federal oil
drilling auctions. These waters haven’t been open to new drilling for
decades.
We need leaders in Congress who will fight to protect our water, our land,
and our earth. I refuse to take even a dime of fossil fuel money. [ [link removed] ]Can

This is just the latest in Trump’s tirade to roll back any and all
sustainability progress we’ve made. Climate change only increases costs
for everyday working people. The price of energy rises, and it’s us who
will be first in line when natural disasters hit Florida.
If Trump can get this proposal off the ground, Florida will be paying the
price for decades. This isn’t the type of leadership we need. We need
honest and accountable leaders who will fight for what’s best for ALL
Floridians.
