In total, 27 students from the San Carlos University of Guatemala, along with their legal advisor Ramon Cadena, remain maliciously criminalized as part of the “Toma USAC: Botín Político” case. All were criminalized in 2023 for peacefully protesting corruption at the highest level of the University administration.

“There is nothing else to do but to keep on struggling”, said Ramon.
