Yet here we are again — with Mitch McConnell leading the charge to pass a COVID-19 relief bill that could be rife with restrictions on reproductive freedom.

The anti-choice radical right is obsessed with ending legal abortion and there’s no low they won’t sink to in order to advance their agenda — including exploiting the COVID-19 pandemic. Politicians in 13 states scrambled to use this crisis as a smokescreen to ban abortion. And it’s clear they won’t stop trying to restrict abortion access anytime soon.
In the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, the pro-choice majority in the U.S. House of Representatives blocked the GOP’s attempts to expand abortion restrictions. But in the CARES Act, Senate Republicans insisted on putting ideology over science and expanded abortion restrictions as a part of the legislation. With the Senate likely to consider another COVID-19 response bill as early as next week, it’s essential that your senators hear from you today.
