Dear Friends,
Each year, Frederick County Government partners with local non-profits to better serve people, enhance services, and improve access to resources.
Partnerships make a big impact on our community - and that’s why I am excited to share the opening of the FY2027 Community Partnership Grant Program, which provides competitive grants to local non-profits. You can learn more here. The application period opens on Tuesday, December 2, and you can apply here.
In addition to the Community Partnership Grants, we recently announced two emergency grants in response to the federal government shutdown.
The HEART Grant will provide $1.5 million in one-time funding to non-profits that experienced increased demand for services during the shutdown and are recovering from revenue losses. The application period is now open, and you can learn more here.
Frederick FEED will provide $1 million in one-time emergency funding to local food banks to help people facing food insecurity as a result of delays in SNAP funding and federal layoffs. The application period will open on Monday, December 1, and you can learn more here.
I want to thank our partners on the County Council for supporting these emergency grants and the Community Foundation of Frederick County for helping to implement Frederick FEED.
Partnerships are critical to our ability to solve problems and deliver results, and I am proud of the investments we’re making with local non-profits to meet our community’s needs. I grateful to be in this work with so many of you.
Sincerely,
