Attempted Trump Assassin Invites President to Beat Him Up
Ryan Routh has a unique ability to keep himself in the news.
The attempted Trump assassin formally invited the president to punch him in
the face "as many times as you want” on Tuesday, volunteering himself for
physical humiliation as punishment for nearly taking the commander in chief’s
life.
If Trump “wished to pummel [me] just for good measure, put on the handcuffs
and shackles and give it your worst,” Routh wrote ina motion

unsealed this week. “No cameras, no complaints, no [charges]. Just good fun.”
“Don’t be a p**sy,” he added.
Routh’s invitation is his latest of many outbursts since attempting to
assassinate the president. Hetried to stab himself

Leaked Texts Show Liberal Senator Trashing His Own Party
Voters choose their candidates for two main reasons: policies and vibes.
Even if you believe that Democrats have the best policy views, it is
undeniable that the party is seriously lacking in the vibes department. Senator
Ruben Gallego knows it.
Newly leaked text messages
<[link removed]> show the liberal
lawmaker blasting his own party for being out of touch and deeply weird,
recognizing that “always telling and correcting people,” “not allowing men to
be men [or] women to be hot,” and worshiping women who look like men are
terrible ways to attract voters.
Gallego is spot on. Think back to last year’s election, when Donald Trump
routinely packed massive arenas and Kamala Harris… campaigned with the Cheneys.
Or just this week, when Democrat “leader” Chuck Schumerstarted crying
<[link removed]> on the Senate floor.
That’s not the energy the public wants. Whether they like it or not, the Left
needs some toxic masculinity.Read more

Other Republicans May Follow Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Lead
Numerous Congressional Republicans are reportedly considering quitting their
jobs ahead of the midterm elections, following in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s
footsteps amid growing frustration with the White House.
At least 41 members have already announced plans to call it quits at the end
of their term, and others could follow thanks to the Trump administration’s
perceived abandonment of the America First agenda and alleged mistreatment of
lawmakers.
The White House treats members of Congress “like garbage,” one senior House
Republican claimed. “More explosives are coming… The arrogance of this White
House team is off-putting to members who are run roughshod and threatened…
Morale has never been lower.”

NYC Politicians Seek Massive Pay Raise When Mamdani Takes Office
Will Zohran Mamdani represent everyday people, or will he follow many other
politicians’ lead and use his office to help the powerful? We’re about to find
out.
New York City councilmembers are pushing a bill to increase their pay by over
16%, aiming to send the legislation to Mamdani’s desk when he assumes office on
January 1st. The proposal would hike the lawmakers’ salaries from $148,500 to
$172,500 and bump the mayor’s pay from $258,750 to $300,500.
Mamdani approving the raises would insult the hundreds of thousands of
everyday New Yorkers who thrust him into power to maketheir lives more
affordable, but rejecting it could put him at odds with his own legislative
body, which he’ll need to pass his agenda. He is in a tough bind.Read more

FBI to Interview Lawmakers Who Encouraged Military to Ignore Trump’s Orders
The FBI and DOJ have reportedly contacted Capitol Police to schedule
interviews with the six members of Congress who recently encouraged service
members to ignore President Trump’s orders.
The liberal group went viral last week for their video
<[link removed]> urging military and
intelligence officials to “refuse illegal orders,” which they specifically
described as “orders that violate the law or our Constitution.” Based on their
rhetoric, you’d think the Trump administration was using the armed forces as
some sort of secret police to expand its power and rebuff laws that stand in
the way. But it isn’t.Elissa Slotkin admitted so on Sunday
<[link removed]>.
Pete Hegseth blasted the propaganda piece as a "politically-motivated
influence operation" on Tuesday, pointing out how its failure to name a
specific illegal order "created ambiguity rather than clarity,” designed to
make peoplethink the president is doing things he’s not.
Mark Kelly, one of the video’s biggest stars, may face court-martial
proceedings for his role in the smear campaign.

REPORT: Trump, Saudi Crown Prince Got Heated over Israel
Last week’s meeting between Donald Trump and Mohammed bin Salman reportedly
became tense over the topic of Israel, with the Saudi leader pushing back on
the president’s aim to normalize his government’s relations with permanent
Washington’s favorite little country.
Trump pressed MBS hard to join the Abraham Accords, prompting pushback
because of Israel’s ethnic cleansing campaign in Gaza, according toAxios. Bin
Salman told the president that his country’s public would not be able to
stomach a diplomatic friendship and a terrorist regime like Netanyahu’s, which
brought Trump “disappointment and irritation.”
MBS then demanded that in return for a peace deal, Israel should agree to "an
irreversible, credible and time-bound path" for a Palestinian state. That
vision is highly unlikely under the ruling Likud Party, which seeks to steal
the Palestinians’ land, not give them independence. This is obvious to any
unbiased observer <[link removed]>. Read more

Ukraine Agrees to Trump Peace Proposal, No Word from Russia
The Zelensky government reportedly agreed to Donald Trump’s Russia-Ukraine
peace proposal on Tuesday, bringing Eastern Europe closer to ending its war
than at any point in nearly four years.
While the deal’s specific terms remain unknown, it is likely close to this
draft
<[link removed]>
from last week. That plan includes several provisions that Zelensky previously
rejected, including a requirement that Ukraine give up its entire Donetsk
region and end its push to join NATO. Moscow has yet to comment specifically on
Tuesday’s report, but “expects the U.S. to inform it of the results of
consultations with Ukraine and Europe in the near future” and requires any deal
to include the basic tenets from August’s Alaska summit.
A peace deal is worth pursuing even if Ukraine makes significant concessions.
They are losing this war, and the situation will only grow worse in time. The
longer it goes on, the more Ukrainian people, land, and culture will suffer.
Cutting their losses and ending the conflict is their only responsible option.
Trump said he hopes to meet with Zelensky and Putin soon, “but ONLY when the
deal to end this War is FINAL or, in its final stages."Read more

Adolf Hitler Set to Win Namibian Election
African politician Adolf Hitler Uunona is poised to win his second local
election in the country of Namibia today, projected to hold his office after
earning 85% of the vote in 2020.
A member of the left-wing Swapo Party, the 59-year-old political figure rose
to international fame after triumphing in his first election, with millions
baffled by his jaw-dropping name.
Why would someone call their child “Adolf Hitler”? Is the name an ode to the
Nazis, or a wish for the territory to return to its former German rule? Is this
the return of the Third Reich?
It turns out, no. Uunona said that his father “didn’t understand what Adolf
Hitler stood for” in a2020 interview
<[link removed]>
, explaining that he would not have given his son the name if he grasped its
full connotation. The elder Uunona only knew Hitler as a man who “wanted to
conquer the whole world.”Read more <[link removed]>

SWEET JUSTICE: Pennsylvania Governor Bans “Hair Discrimination”
Hair discrimination is (apparently) real, and Josh Shapiro won’t stand for it.
The Pennsylvania governor signed a bill banning “hair discrimination” on
Tuesday, adding “protective hairstyles” to the state’s definition of race. The
CROWN Act expands Pennsylvania’s Human Relations Act to include “hair texture”
and “protective hairstyles,” making school or workplace discrimination against
such expressions a criminal act.
“Look, we know that this is an issue which disproportionally affects Black
Pennsylvanians,” Shapiro said. “That’s unacceptable, and in a moment, it will
be illegal.”

Turns Out the World’s Strongest Woman Is a Man
When Jammie Booker won the women’s 2025 Strongman Games World Championship,
“she” did so with a secret:she’s actually a biological man.
Competition officials were unaware of Booker’s true identity at the time of
the contest and unknowingly allowed him to participate in an otherwise
all-female field. The Games received word of Booker’s unfair advantage after
the event’s conclusion and revoked his championship on Tuesday.
“Had this been declared at any point before or during the competition, this
athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Woman’s Open category…
Competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at
birth,” the organization wrote ina statement
<[link removed]>
. “It is our responsibility to ensure fairness,” they added.
The UK’s Andrea Thompson, who finished one point behind her male competitor,
is now recognized as the event’s champion. Robbed of her moment atop the
winner’s podium, Thompson’s title is now rightfully hers.Read more

Teddy Bear Missing After Falling from the Stratosphere
Did any of your school science projects ever get out of hand? If so, students
at England’s Walhampton School can relate.
The young academics launched a high-altitude weather balloon from Lymington,
Hampshire, two weeks ago, sending the aircraft and its lone passenger, a
well-dressed teddy bear, above the clouds for a ride like no other. Things were
going smoothly until the ship reached the stratosphere, when the voyage became
unexpectedly turbulent. The bear broke off from the balloon over 16 miles above
the ground and plummeted back to earth.
Exactly where the passenger landed remains unknown, but tracking data
suggests he touched down near the town of Earley, roughly 60 miles from
Lymington. The Walhampton School is urging anyone who finds him, dressed in a
school uniform, checkered shirt, navy shorts, and a matching bow tie, to return
him to his launch site.

What We’re Thankful for This Thanksgiving
Anyone who reads this newsletter knows we’re never shy about criticizing the
government. As journalists, asking critical questions and critiquing our
country’s rulers is our duty, no matter who holds office.
The powerful and their sworn protectors often conflate this work with a lack
of patriotism. They say speaking out when elected leaders abandon their
promises makes us America haters, closet liberals, or, of course, irredeemable
bigots.
Everyone knows why they launch these ad hominem attacks. Their smears are a
desperate attempt to intimidate us into shutting up so they can regain control
of the narrative. But it won’t work. The truth, not partisanship, personality
cults, or special interests, is our only boss, and we will never stand down
from telling it.
Writing today’s news briefing, our final before Thanksgiving, reminded us
that despite these games, we are blessed and grateful to do this job in the
United States. Most nations throughout history and the modern world would never
permit dissent like ours. Gestapo forces would lock us away for speaking the
truth, grinning ear to ear as they threw our cell’s key down the trash chute.
Our silencing would be their victory.
What modern government would act that way? Of course, there are the usual
suspects like China, North Korea, Iran, and Russia. But they’re not the only
ones. Not even close.
Did you know that, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists’ 2024
prison census
<[link removed]>
, Israel, Myanmar, and Belarus all incarcerated more journalists last year than
the dreaded Kremlin? Or that global overlordsjailed a record number of reporters
<[link removed]>
just three years ago? What about that in 2023,the United Kingdom arrested over
12,000 people for “speech violations”?
<[link removed]> For comparison,
Russia’s total was less than 33% as high despite having over double the
population.
Totalitarian is the only honest way to describe those regimes’ behavior. A
population that cannot express itself without fear of government retribution is
not free, and the fact that millions of people living under self-described
Western democracies fall into that camp shows how rare true liberty is.
How do you think most foreign equivalents of the Morning Note would be doing?
Probably not well. It wouldn't be allowed. Throughout history, the right to
speak openly about the powerful has been a rarity. We’re continuously thankful
that America is different. We’ll never take it for granted.

This Day in History
November 26, 1922: The exploration of King Tut’s tomb. British archaeologists
Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon became the first souls to enter King
Tutankhamen’s burial chambers in over 3,000 years, finding the site
miraculously intact and filled with the Egyptian king’s riches. Thousands of
priceless artifacts, including a gold coffin, accompanied the teenage ruler’s
mummy, which remains preserved centuries after his death. Carter began his
search for the tomb after World War I and discovered its entrance’s first step
in early November. Carnarvon rushed to Egypt upon hearing the news, and he and
Carter entered the four-room tomb within weeks of his arrival. In addition to
numerous pieces of jewelry and gold, the chamber contained furniture, clothes,
a chariot, weapons, and numerous other objects that shed light on ancient
Egypt. Most of the treasures now live in the Cairo Museum. Read more
