Dear John,

Across the world, feminist movements are leading solutions to some of the most pressing issues of our time, often at great risk to their safety. From organizing street protests to serving as first responders during crises, their tireless efforts remind us that positive change is always possible, even in the face of insurmountable odds.

As the year draws to a close, we are shining a light on the incredible work of feminist movements to challenge oppressive systems and transform the world. After a challenging year, these stories offer a dose of hope and clarity: while the just and equitable future we want may take time, it is underway.

When a climate disaster happens, Indigenous and tribal communities are usually the first to respond and the last to receive support. Despite this, when Hurricane Francine hit, women tribal chiefs in Louisiana stepped up to ensure the safety and well-being of their communities. Using an Urgent Action Fund grant, they secured portable solar panels and battery packs to power essential communications and medical services.

At the Urgent Action Fund, our core mission is to support and resource the brilliance and innovation of grassroots groups like the ones in Louisiana. So far in 2025, we’ve provided over 400 grants to frontline feminists, and with additional funding, we can support more feminist activists on the frontlines today.
Help us increase our support to feminist activists. ([link removed])

This year for Giving Tuesday, a generous donor is matching the first $5,000 raised. Your donation fuels transformative work happening in communities like the ones in Louisiana. Double your impact by making a donation today. ([link removed])
