The Trump Administration is using COVID-19 as an excuse to separate families seeking asylum at the border.
We need to act now.

Friend,
The Trump Administration’s cruel family separation policies never ended. And now, in the midst of a deadly pandemic, the government is using COVID-19 as an excuse to expel ALL asylum seekers at our borders, hurting our country and putting millions of people at risk.
Before July 17th, we must start calling for an end to this cruelty in 2020 — if we demand urgent and immediate action today. A District Court order is requiring that all children held for more than 20 days at three Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) family detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania must be released by July 17th. ICE has the discretion to release children and families together. They should do so immediately, without delay. This order cannot be an excuse for more family separation.
Will you join the thousands of people across the country standing up for separated children and families and calling out the government’s cruel policies?
Take action today: sign the petition now to demand the Trump Administration end their hateful family separation policies immediately.

The Trump Administration is continuing to separate families and put children at risk in three distinct ways:
They are deporting children as young as 10 at the border alone, ripping them away from their parents, putting them on planes without telling them where they’re going and with no one there to care for them when they get there.
They are deporting children living in the U.S. seeking asylum, claiming they were health threats to Americans. These kids were here before the pandemic started, have nothing to do with the virus, and could have been safely reunited with family in the United States.
They are using COVID-19 as an excuse to force family separations or indefinite detention. Parents are faced with an impossible decision: forcibly separate from their children or face indefinite detention where COVID-19 outbreaks continue to a harrowing degree.
We cannot allow this to continue happening even one more day. Take action: sign up to hold the Administration accountable, restore the asylum system, and end family separation in 2020.

We must act now to ensure that the Trump Administration’s hateful anti-immigrant agenda ends and families seeking asylum can stay together.
Thank you for demanding urgent action for immigrant families today,
