They’re facing significant challenges with rising energy costs, wrongly blamed on clean energy and environmental policies. To prevent the buildout of more dangerous and outdated fossil fuel infrastructure, decision makers like Governors-to-be Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger—both of whom ran on clean energy as solutions to the affordability crisis—will need the policy support to execute on those promises.
