Friend, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I'm taking a minute to reflect on all of the things I have to be grateful for this year. High on that list is the opportunity to serve the people of Brooklyn as our voice in the State Senate.
But my work in Albany is just the beginning. When I'm not there, I'm working hard to connect with people across the district, and make sure they've got what they need.
And we've heard it time and time again: because of the Trump Administration and their dangerous decisions, families across the district are going through an especially tough time right now.
To help combat some of the chaos, my team and I have been distributing turkeys, gift cards, and other meal support for Thanksgiving tables throughout the district. We're seeing the real results — alongside our partners at City Harvest, Met Council, Wegmans, and Citymeals on Wheels, we’ve been able to show up for more than 800 families, with the help of 25 organizations working to identify neighbors in need.

Friend, I grew up with two hardworking parents who taught me the importance of philoxenia : a Greek word meaning "love of strangers" . So being able to help take care of the people around me really does mean so much, especially as we continue into the holiday season.
As we close out 2025, I hope that we can all keep in mind what is possible when we come together.
Thanks for reading this all the way through, and I hope you and your loved ones have a happy Thanksgiving!
- Andrew
PS. Before you go, I'm dedicated to doing all I can to make our community a better place. As my team and I lay the groundwork for my next election, we could use your help to meet one of my last fundraising goals of 2025. With the opportunity for eligible donations to be matched up to 12X, will you chip in $5, $10, or $15 to help us raise the $2,075 l still need before the holiday?>> [[link removed]]
