With #GivingTuesday only a week away, we at ASAN have been taking a moment to reflect on the year that has both dragged on and flashed before our eyes. Giving Tuesday is a day where nonprofits from all over the world ask their supporters to donate and support their causes as a part of the holiday season.
Since January, ASAN has been working in overdrive for our community. From plain language roundups [[link removed]], monthly webinars [[link removed]], and so much more, we have been able to connect with our grassroots community and allies in the fight for a more equitable world. Through this fight, we are grounded knowing that we are in this for our community and are working towards something greater. We know that autistic communities are the experts who should be leading autistic policy. Only we can protect us, and that means making sure that policy and resources are accessible and available to our community.
As we continue to fight and anticipate the challenges to come, we wanted to take time to thank you. Our own work here at ASAN would not be possible without the generosity of monthly members [[link removed]] and donations from our community [[link removed]] that allow us to provide free trainings, toolkits, and other resources to self-advocates. This year, consider making a #GivingTuesday donation to ASAN to help empower self-advocacy and the autistic community. Can we count on your support?
Your support lets us make sure our community has accessible information about the issues that affect them. Here’s how you can help us keep that going:
* Donate to us directly here [[link removed]]
* Or become a member and get exclusive perks here [[link removed]]
* Start a Facebook fundraiser [[link removed]] at no cost to you, and share with friends
* Buy a copy of Loud Hands or another one of our books here [[link removed]]
* Get some holiday merch from our Threadless shop [[link removed]]
* Spread the word about us! You can tell your friends about us on social media, via email, or in person
We’re so grateful for your support and for your spirit of giving. We’ll see you next week on GivingTuesday!
