This ruling, the fourth of its kind, validated the facts on the ground. Oregon does not want or need military intervention, and President Trump’s attempts to federalize the guard is a gross abuse of power. Governor Kotek is still fighting to have Oregon’s troops demobilized.
Governor Kotek led the states in making sure SNAP benefits were restored.

As soon as a federal court ordered the Trump Administration to immediately release 100% of funding to pay for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Governor Kotek issued an emergency order to restore those benefits, and Oregon state employees worked through the night to get SNAP benefits to Oregonians in need.
Governor Kotek releases Executive Order to Accelerate Climate Protections for Lands and Waters
Governor Kotek was commended by the Pew Charitable Trusts for her executive order protecting natural resources. Governor Kotek’s directive calls on state agencies to work together to strengthen the ability of Oregon’s lands and waters to adapt to and recover from increasing environmental changes, including frequent, severe natural disasters and extreme weather events.
