John,
Today, counties officially certify the 2025 election results. Together, we achieved major victories in our state’s most critical races and showed that bold positions on environmental justice remain a priority for Washington voters:
✅ We won nine out of nine special elections for the state Legislature, defending our pro-environmental majority.
✅ We won three state Senate seats where the difference on climate and clean energy couldn’t have been clearer.
✅ An environmentally friendly candidate won a Whatcom County Council seat by 13 points – in a district once lost by double digits.
The work towards a healthy and just future does not end here. Our focus now turns to 2026: It’s our responsibility to keep the momentum going by pushing those elected to stand up for the environment and for democracy. Election day is not the finish line, it’s the start.
Our opponents are not stopping simply because they lost an election. Those that seek to deny environmental justice are doubling down to put the brakes on progress. We’re counting on your continued involvement to make sure progress doesn’t stall!
Join us to continue the work to defend environmental progress in the 2026 legislative session! [[link removed]]
