We’ll provide an overview of the history and significance of the Christmas Bird Count, review what it means to participate, and share tips for getting involved. When you register, you’ll also be able to join an optional live Q&A session on Thursday, December 4 from 7–8 p.m. ET.
Beginning in 1900, the CBC is the nation’s longest-running community science bird monitoring project. Now with over 80,000 volunteers that participate across the Western Hemisphere, data collected during this community science effort help identify trends and inform strategies to protect birds and the places they need.
