New report describes model-based techniques to produce estimates of state-level crime victimization rates

BJS has released the third-party report Bayesian Estimation of State-Level Crime Victimization Rates. This BJS-funded report highlights the results from applying the multivariate lognormal model using BJS’s National Crime Victimization Survey and the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program to produce state-level estimates of criminal victimization.
