Hi John,

If you wondered whether pro-life advocates could still make a difference for the unborn and medically vulnerable here in Oregon, I think this year’s legislative session proved it: We can.

Among the dangerous bills identified by Oregon Right to Life this year, Senate Bill 1003 drew statewide and even national attention for its language to expand assisted suicide in Oregon.

The defeat of SB 1003 came thanks to the full engagement of pro-life lawmakers, especially Oregon Republican minority leaders Sen. Daniel Bonham (R-The Dalles) and Rep. Christine Drazan (R-Canby), as well as hundreds of allies on both sides of the political aisle who share our opposition to assisted suicide.

Pro-life lawmakers never gave up in their opposition to SB 1003.

The result? The bill never made it out of committee. We defeated it, protecting elderly and medically vulnerable people across Oregon.

This is the kind of real-world action that can take place when we elect leaders who will represent pro-life values in the State Capitol. It’s why our political action committee works so hard to identify and vet candidates, rally support, and turn out the pro-life vote. Time and again, Oregonians have seen the results, despite facing pro-abortion majorities.

It’s amazing what we can achieve. But none of that happens without the support of pro-life advocates like you, especially through your yearly support using Oregon’s political tax credit.

The tax credit allows most filers to give [[link removed]] to a political committee, like Oregon Right to Life PAC, and receive up to $100 back when you file your taxes* next year.

It’s a credit, not a deduction, and the money you give would otherwise go straight to Oregon’s pro-abortion government – which uses your tax dollars to fund 80% of abortions statewide. So please, make a plan to redirect some of your tax dollars this year using the Oregon political tax credit, putting your pro-life convictions into action at no extra cost.

Your donation will go a long way toward electing more pro-life leaders like the ones who stood in the breach this year for the most vulnerable.
