Trump has been making his plans to end mail-in voting ahead of midterms loud and clear since he took office. But now, he’s trying to make Ohio ground zero for his mass disenfranchisement agenda — and not a single Ohio Republican is standing in his way, despite Republicans making up the majority of mail-in voters in our state.

During the hearing for S.B. 293, Allison even got Frank LaRose to admit there’s been no evidence of voter fraud in Ohio. But to them, the only thing that matters is keeping Trump happy.

S.B. 293 will take effect before the 2026 midterms. That means in an election where pundits are already widely predicting a Democratic shift, Trump and his Republicans are doing everything they can to make sure the legal ballots of their critics are thrown out so they can stay in power.
