LCV

Friend: we just received the incredible news that a donor has pledged to contribute $100,000 to fund our environmental campaigns in the year ahead.

It comes with a catch: it will only kick in IF 1,000 members also pitch in before midnight on Giving Tuesday next week.

This is a huge deal — because this year’s Giving Tuesday is something bigger than a typical fundraising day. The Trump administration is launching some of its worst anti-environmental attacks yet in the coming weeks — and we need to respond.

Now is the time for the environmental movement to make our voices heard.

As you’re reading this email, the Trump administration is preparing to repeal protections that limit how much toxic coal and mercury pollution power plants can spew into our air.

They’re allowing corporate polluters to carve up the Arctic and other cherished public lands for drilling, mining, and logging by auctioning off our lands, and they’re opening up more than a BILLION acres of U.S. waters for drilling. They’ve even approved a massive private highway — crossing more than 3,000 Alaskan rivers and streams — in a corrupt deal to mine the Arctic for minerals.

Trump’s EPA is also trying to declare that climate pollution is not a threat to public health by repealing the Endangerment Finding — a move that could end the basis for federal efforts to limit such pollution.

Right now, LCV is responding to each reckless executive order, each rollback of policies that protect our planet and health, and each pro-polluter move that puts our air, water, and communities at risk.

Trump’s attacks are extensive, coordinated with polluters, well-funded, and designed to silence public input. But our movement is stronger than corporate polluters’ greed and the Trump administration’s corruption, and we’re not backing down.

Across the country, LCV and our 30 state affiliates are mobilizing the public and leaders to oppose corporate giveaways that harm people and our planet and demanding oversight for polluters. Unlocking this extra $100,000 by Giving Tuesday will supercharge that work — ensuring corporate polluters don’t get to write the rules for our future.

Thanks for being with us, Friend.
