This fall, the NRCAT U.S. Prisons Program Advisory Council (pictured above) met in New York City for three days of strategic planning, community building, and deepening NRCAT’s vision of a torture-free future. The gathering, which included 10 of the 11 council members plus NRCAT staff, served as a reminder that we all benefit when pain is transformed by both healing and advocacy. Your donation as we approach Giving Tuesday will support these Advisory Council members and the NRCAT National Network of Solitary Survivors to use their voices to fight back against policies and practices where cruelty seems to be the point. Advancing towards a torture-free future means coming together to resist state violence – as people of faith, survivors of torture, and advocates. Help us make this message strong and clear with a donation to NRCAT this Giving Tuesday! With gratitude for you, The NRCAT Team |
