There is a lot of fear right now in our communities.

Secret police are kidnapping people off our streets. Masked men in unmarked vehicles are tearing parents from their kids. They’re waiting in school pick-up lines and lurking in hospital waiting rooms.

• We should be cracking down on the cartels, not our communities.
• We should be deporting gang members, not small business owners.
• We should be hunting down human traffickers, not moms and babies.

This is not law enforcement. This is something else...

• They say it’s about law and order — but they’re waiting outside courthouses, arresting people who are following the law and showing up for their immigration hearings.
• They say it’s about the economy — but they’re deporting the very people who keep our economy running.
• They say it’s about illegal immigration — but now they’re detaining American citizens.

This has never been about immigration; it has always been about control.

The best way to control a population is to keep people afraid. Keep them looking over their shoulders. Keep them in line.

Don’t draw attention to yourself. Don’t criticize the state. Don’t say what you think. Otherwise you’ll be disappeared.

This is America. We’re not supposed to fear our government; our government is supposed to fear us.

We have to stop them.
