Are your groceries more expensive this Thanksgiving? We know ours are.
Well, according to the Trump administration, that’s a lie.
Kevin Hassett, the Director of the National Economic Council, was asked point-blank about Trump’s lies about the price of Thanksgiving groceries going down. His response? A crashout.
He started blaming Joe Biden for the price of groceries. Last time we checked, Biden is not the president — his beloved Trump is.
So instead of addressing the concerns of the American public, he tried to double down on gaslighting us about the price of a Walmart Thanksgiving basket being cheaper than last year’s. Even though this year’s basket has less food in it, and average grocery prices have gone up since Trump took office.
This denial and deflection is the same playbook used by Trump, who now refuses to release the October jobs report until the end of the year, if at all.
