In the middle of a pandemic that has now taken more than 138,000 American lives, President Trump made the extremely irresponsible decision to pull the United States out of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Trump made this threat for months despite warnings from health experts. But last week, his administration officially announced the formal withdrawal.

This move means one of the largest and most important health organizations in the world, on the forefront of researching and responding to illnesses like the coronavirus, will lose funding from one of its biggest supporters.

It's yet another global pact that this reckless and embarrassing president has pulled us from, putting his self interest above the best interests of our country and people around the world.
