It’s official, John: Donald Trump has declared that we are now in the “Golden Age” of America.
The problem is, we aren’t hearing that from the everyday Americans we are talking with. Many are worried about rising healthcare premiums, others are terrified at the bill they will receive at the grocery store checkout.

Beef is approaching $10 a pound, and Republicans shut the government down for over a month because they refuse to join Democrats in doing anything about the price of healthcare.
Three in ten Californians say that they or someone in their household has reduced meals or cut back on food to save money. Roughly one in four adults say they worry every day or almost every day about housing costs and the amount of debt they have.
So, to us, it seems silly to suggest that this is the best ever period of American history — but Donald Trump disagrees. He has proclaimed this to be our official Golden Age, so we want to check in with everyday Americans and see what they think.
