Friends,
Everywhere I go in Shelby County, I hear versions of the same story. Groceries are higher. Rent is higher. Gas is higher. Childcare is higher. And paychecks have not kept pace.
The cost of living is out of control, and too many families feel like they are running in place no matter how hard they work.
This didn’t happen overnight, and it won’t be fixed overnight. But what I know is this: too many of our systems were never built to make life affordable for working families. It’s time to change that.
We can fix this. But it requires leadership that understands what families are actually facing.
As your next Shelby County Mayor, I will push for a county agenda that lowers costs for everyday people. That includes expanding universal pre-K to reduce childcare costs, bringing neighborhood health clinics closer to home, building more affordable housing, and investing in public transit that helps people get to work without draining their paycheck.
But to deliver this vision, we need a campaign powered by people - not insiders or special interests.
If you are able, can you chip in $10 or more today to help us build a county where affordability is not a privilege but a right? Your support will help us organize communities, talk to voters, and build the grassroots movement we need to make life more affordable for everyone.
