Team,

With so many Americans struggling to pay their bills each month, we need to expand student loan forgiveness. That's especially true for students who were defrauded by greedy for-profit schools.

Is Secretary Betsy DeVos taking action? No. She's just making things worse by attempting to gut the existing policy that erases student loan debts for cheated borrowers.

We won't stand idly by. Today, Xavier filed a lawsuit against Betsy DeVos for her attempt to scrap important protections for defrauded students.

If a student is defrauded or scammed by a college, their federal student loan debts can be erased.

President Obama expanded this policy to further protect students. Now, Betsy DeVos is trying to scrap these expanded protections altogether. In fact, under this DeVos rollback, only 4% of eligible student loan borrowers will get the relief they are entitled to.

With so many Americans already struggling right now, victims who were cheated from now-defunct colleges shouldn't be on the hook to repay their student loans. Team, can you add your name if you agree?
