ICE detention centers have seen a spike in COVID-19 cases, jeopardizing the health of the people in ICE custody.

To make matters worse, there are new reports that ICE staff are disinfecting facilities with hazardous chemicals. For detained people, the use of harsh disinfectants in such close proximity has resulted in itchy rashes, bloody noses, burning eyes, fainting, and coughing fits.

ICE's COVID-19 response is an outright disgrace, not to mention inhumane. That's why Congress must do everything in its power to hold ICE accountable for its actions.

It's unsurprising that COVID-19 has spread quickly through ICE detention facilities, given that detainees are packed so closely together with poor air circulation. Using hazardous disinfectants, however, is just another cruel decision in ICE's long list of shameful judgment calls.

Will you stand up for the people in ICE custody by demanding that Congress open an investigation into ICE's COVID-19 response?

Thanks for taking action,
