I’ve spent my life, from waiting tables in Chico to working as an educator, seeing how hard people work just to get by. When I see families struggling with the cost of housing, groceries, and healthcare, it’s proof that our system is completely broken — and that we’re being sold out by politicians in Washington backed by big-money donors.

That’s why we need grit. I learned early on that when something breaks, you don't wait for someone else to fix it. You roll up your sleeves and get to work. That's the determination I bring to this campaign, and it’s why we’ve set a big, bold $50,000 fundraising goal for this month.
