The Texas Tribune: Supreme Court temporarily restores Texas' new congressional map

John,

Texas Republicans and Donald Trump are working together to rig our voting maps, plotting to replace them with new ones they’ve drawn to protect their slim majority in Washington.

FIRST: Federal judges in Texas confirmed substantial evidence of racial discrimination in the new maps, blocking Greg Abbott and Donald Trump from enacting them and instead putting our people’s right to a fair vote and representation first.

THEN: Ken Paxton urged the Supreme Court to reconsider the Texas court’s decision, arguing the new maps would help elect more Republicans, who can “better represent our state and Texas.”

NOW: Justice Alito temporarily reinstated the new congressional map, giving Republicans the chance to steal five new seats ahead of the next elections!

But we aren’t going to stand by and let that happen. We are going to stand up and fight for our communities, no matter what district lines they throw at us.

By pitching in $5 or more today, you can help me keep this campaign ready for anything the Supreme Court throws our way →
