We’re less than one year away from the 2026 midterm elections -- and we’ve got some hopeful news.

A new NBC News poll shows Democrats leading Republicans in the fight for Congress by 8 points -- 50% to 42%. 

That’s the largest lead for either party on the congressional ballot since 2018, when Democrats flipped the House and picked up 41 seats.

This is the kind of momentum we’ve been waiting for. But as Jim always reminds us, polls don’t win elections, people do.

Trump and his extreme MAGA allies have shown complete disregard for the economic wellbeing of American families. Inflation is climbing and Trump’s reckless tariffs are only making it worse. Energy prices are up. Groceries are up. Health care costs are about to skyrocket.

Voters are paying attention. They know who’s fighting for them -- and who’s not.

We have a real opportunity to build on this moment, but make no mistake, we have a lot of work to do if we’re going to make this a reality.
