John, there are a lot of loud voices dominating the political conversation, and I’ll be honest, they don’t always have the best interests at heart.
I’m different.
When I visit places across the 14th District, one of my first steps is to sit down with local leaders and put together a wish list. You should see their shocked faces, firstname, because they don’t think I’m serious. And I’m not the type of legislator that takes one trip and calls it a day — we keep in contact with the communities we serve because that’s how you truly deliver.
Take DeKalb Municipal Airport, for example; they couldn’t afford to keep it running.

Once I was elected, we got them out of the red, then into the black. Had I ever worked on an airport before? No. Did I know anything about the FAA? Not at all. But my mindset was “Let’s just go solve the problem! You tell me you need $3 million, let’s go find $3 million.”
And we did. So I’m not like the other leaders who spend more time clip farming than they do serving the people. I’m here to deliver for the people of the 14th District, and that’s the type of leadership we need more of in Washington. So before November passes us by, will you pitch in today?
