TELL CONGRESS: No corporate immunity for businesses that fail to protect employees and consumers! >>

Since the beginning of the pandemic, COVID-19 has ripped through meatpacking plants, resulting in thousands of cases as employees were forced to work shoulder-to-shoulder. It spread between workers and consumers at grocery stores, health care facilities, and other essential service operations. And as some states have begun to reopen, the health of employees and customers throughout the economy has been increasingly threatened by exposure to COVID-19.
But Mitch McConnell’s priority for the next coronavirus relief package isn’t saving lives or protecting workers — it’s protecting corporate CEOs and shareholders from accountability.
Under McConnell’s plan, companies that force sick employees to work, don’t allow workers to socially distance, or negligently expose workers and consumers to the virus could be let off the hook, while their employees and customers pay with their lives.
As many states ignore public health experts and race toward reopening, big business is lobbying Congress to demand immunity from lawsuits.
Some employers are not only refusing to provide face masks for their employees, they’re banning them outright! And employees who get sick risk taking COVID-19 back to their families at home.
Mitch McConnell insists that NO more COVID-19 relief for the people will pass unless companies receive immunity first.
And with the Senate poised to move on the next coronavirus relief package as early as next week, Congress must hear from us now!
We cannot let McConnell and Senate Republicans hold our health and safety hostage so corporations can be shielded from their own negligence.
