Well, I don’t either. Because this team made our voices heard, and that special session never even happened.

But Kansas Republicans didn’t just take their ball and go home. Now, they have their sights set on January 12th — which means the countdown is officially on.

I hate to reach out again with another fundraising request, but given the staggering stakes we’re dealing with, we can’t just sit back and hope things will go our way. We have to push back again and end this gerrymandering scheme once and for all. Can you chip in and help us out?

Let’s not beat around the bush here: I’m a red-state Democrat, a former MMA fighter, and an LGBTQ+ Native American woman. So it’s not exactly surprising to me that National Republicans are working so hard to rig the game and kick me out of office.

I know why they’re doing it. I don’t fit their idea of what a “typical” politician from Kansas looks like. I don’t bow down to Donald Trump or DC leadership. I don’t play politics with people’s livelihoods. And that’s made National Republicans furious.

Maybe my existence and my leadership makes a handful of politicians in DC angry. But I’m OK with that. Because the only opinions I really care about are the ones coming from Kansas — not the White House.
