Being involved in politics and practically growing alongside Sunrise, I saw how they helped turn climate change into a national issue and tackle it head-on by proposing a bold plan to save our planet, the Green New Deal .

Sunrise Chicago has been instrumental in the workings of the Green New Deal for Chicago public schools, and their mutual aid work in our community has been indispensable, especially as we've had record heat waves this past summer.

Alongside Sunrise, I'm ready to fight Big Oil, fight for a Green New Deal, and fight to help deliver the better future that past generations have failed to give us.

My opponents, on the other hand, are all a part of the same establishment that has refused to recognize the severity of the climate crisis and won't do anything to help solve it.
