In just a minute, I will personally ask you to add a donation to my campaign for U.S. Senate. But first, I should explain why your hard-earned dollars matter so much, now more than ever.
It’s hard to believe, but this election is fewer than four months away. Already, the Trump campaign has launched an eight-figure ad campaign in Minnesota and Trump himself talks about winning in our state every chance he gets.
To make matters worse, right-wing groups and super PACs with ties to Mitch McConnell have already dumped tens of millions into key Senate races across the country — and they’re showing no signs of stopping.
If we want any shot at flipping the Senate, ending McConnell’s grip on power in Washington, and sending Donald Trump packing in November, then we must stop the Republicans from turning Minnesota red. That kind of work will require a significant amount of money.
My team and I are reworking the budget as fast as we can to prepare for the influx of attacks that are sure to come our way in the final months of this election, but I’m worried we could end up getting outspent.
