John,
At LeftNet, we’re committed to supporting organizations that are
rethinking how to be involved in all communities, how people are heard,
and how trust is built across the country.
Just last week, Swing Left launched its Ground Truth program, a nationwide
initiative focused on improving civic engagement and understanding between
elected officials and voters.
Ground Truth takes a different approach from traditional outreach efforts.
Instead of relying solely on data models or narrow targeting, volunteers
visit every household in the communities they’re working in. Their goal is
simple: to listen. These conversations can help reveal real concerns,
everyday challenges, and priorities that aren’t always captured in
traditional canvassing methods like surveys, polling, or digital outreach.
This program also combines these conversations with new technology
designed to securely capture open-ended insights. Those insights help
civic organizations, researchers, and community groups better understand
the full range of experiences that shape how people feel about their
communities and their future.
As we look ahead to 2026, it’s absolutely crucial that we capture insights
from people across all communities so organizations can better respond to
what voters are experiencing.

prioritizes listening, community understanding, and deeper connection,
please consider donating to Swing Left so they can have the resources they
need to support their Ground Truth program.
