| John,
In my NPR interview last week, I shared something important about the moment we’re in.
My job is to hope for the best, but plan for the worst.
That’s not fear-mongering. It’s responsible leadership.
Minnesotans expect our elections to be fair, accurate, honest, and secure. And no matter what happens at the federal level, that is exactly what I intend to deliver.
As Secretary of State, I’m preparing Minnesota and collaborating with other states for any scenario, including possible federal overreach. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect your freedom to vote.
But I need your help. Our November end-of-month deadline is just days away, and we need to raise $7,500 to stay on track. Will you chip in $10 today?

The Trump Administration has given us cause for concern. We’ve seen:
• Armed federal forces deployed into American cities
• Persistent spread of election disinformation
• Weakening of federal agencies that normally help keep elections safe
And despite repeated requests, the federal government still will not say the simple sentence that would help calm the nation: “We would never do anything to interfere with the 2026 elections.”
We deserve that assurance. We haven’t received it.
Every contribution strengthens our ability to counter disinformation, protect voter privacy, and safeguard our elections in 2026. Will you ensure we have the resources to fight back and spread our message by chipping in $5 or more right now?
Thank you,
Steve
