Hi John, Lt. Gov. Austin Davis here.
Last month, I visited the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to discuss how our administration can best support the Commonwealth amid rising prices and the loss of federal assistance.
As a public servant with over a decade of experience, my focus is always on improving the lives of those around me. Witnessing the recent rollback of rights and gutting of support systems by the Trump administration has been one of the most disturbing things I've seen in my career.
That's why, in addition to fighting back at the political level, I'm hoping you'll join me in supporting food banks throughout the Commonwealth by donating anything you can to your local food bank.
And with Thanksgiving right around the corner, if you or someone you know needs extra support during this period of chaos and difficulty, here are some links to connect you with the right resources.
- Search for food, housing, utilities, and other supports in your ZIP code by visiting pa-navigate.org.
- To connect with nearby food pantries and emergency food distribution, call 211 or visit pa211.org.
- Feeding PA's tool allows you to find a local food bank by entering your ZIP code: feedingpa.org/find-food.
If you are outside of PA and are looking for a way to give back, you can look for your local food bank by entering your ZIP code here: Feeding America.
If you are unable to donate, I encourage you to volunteer with your local food bank. Now more than ever, we need to unite in support of our friends, families, and neighbors.
Thank you,
Lt. Gov. Austin Davis
