November is recognized as National Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the rich, diverse cultures, histories, and significant contributions of the Native American and Alaska Native peoples.

This month provides an important opportunity to acknowledge the vital role Indigenous peoples have played and continue to play in shaping our nation, our communities, and the labor movement itself. From the earliest days of organizing to the present, Indigenous workers have been integral to advancing workers' rights and fighting for dignity and respect in the workplace.

As a union family, we are committed to the principles of justice, equity, and solidarity for all working people. In honoring Native American Heritage Month, we must also confront the ongoing challenges and historical injustices that Indigenous communities face.

We invite you to join our next Native Americans Together for Indigenous Voices Everywhere (N.A.T.I.V.E.) meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 7:30 pm (EST)!
