I’m no stranger to tough elections. I’ll tell you more in just a minute, but here’s the most important takeaway: I’m in the middle of my most important race yet.

If Democrats want any shot of taking back the House, we can’t afford a slip-up here in CA-47. We have to do our part. Please, will you chip in a few dollars today?

Back in 2020, I ran for the California State Senate… and to be completely honest, a lot of people thought I was crazy. Democrats hadn’t won an election in the district I was running in for decades.

But I knew Orange County was ready for change. I knew families were done with MAGA, done with Trump, done with a politics defined by chaos and cruelty. So we took that campaign everywhere. We knocked on thousands of doors and told folks exactly what I believed in. And we didn’t just win. We sent an unmistakable message to MAGA Republicans all across the country. That message?

Everyone deserves a fair shot at the American Dream. Women’s rights should be protected — not dismantled. Every child deserves a high-quality public education. The climate crisis cannot be ignored. Our democracy is not for sale.

Four years later, I decided to run for Congress to take that fight to the next level. And the attacks only escalated from there. In CA-47 alone, National Republicans spent nearly $9 million to take us down. But because so many people like you volunteered, knocked on doors, and yes, chipped in $5 or $10 at a time, we eked out a 2-point victory.

But here’s the thing about Congress: Once one election ends… another begins.

So even though I know a thing or two about persevering — and winning — with the odds stacked against me, it only happened because of you.

Now, I’m staring down my most important, most consequential election yet — and I can’t win it without your help. We can’t take our foot off the gas now. We can’t become complacent. We need to run this race like we’re 10 points behind. Please, will you chip in before midnight?
