Moral Leaders Have Power to Shift the NarrativeNow is the time to connect the dots and show people that policy violence is immoralI’m grateful to my friend Ali Velshi for his powerful MSNOW segment today on the moral leadership of clergy who are challenging ICE extremism and the policy violence that communities are beginning to feel as cuts to federal programs touch the most vulnerable. I was glad to get to join him and am grateful to be able to share our conversation here. In 20 states across the US tomorrow, Moral Mondays will connect the dots between the issues and create a platform for directly impacted people and religious leaders to insist this is something we all must care about.
You can learn more about Moral Mondays and how to join a delegation in your state at Repairers of the Breach. https://breachrepairers.org/get-involved/events/moral-monday-standing-against-deadly-policy-violence/ Our livestream will be from Raleigh, North Carolina at 11am tomorrow.. You can also tune in for a Moral Mass Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina tomorrow evening at 7pm ET, where we’ll be standing in solidarity with immigrant families and the faith community that has rallied there to support them.
