John, it feels like multiple times each day MAGA Republicans are proposing new cuts to our social safety net. Republicans have already cut (or are trying to cut) programs like Social Security, Medicaid, SNAP, housing assistance programs, and so much more.
And John, when I read the news about these cuts, I think of the struggles my family went through when I was a child.
I grew up in extreme poverty. My family relied on government assistance programs like the ones on the chopping block right now to survive. And to be honest with you, I don’t know how we would’ve survived without these programs.
And John, it's not just me. There’s millions of families experiencing what I faced growing up, *right now.* And I’m running for Congress to give those families a voice.
I know it’s a lot to ask for a campaign donation in times like this, but taking our fight for these programs to Congress takes a village.
