Happy holidays, John! Every year, the holiday season generates enormous amounts of waste. From gift giving to food waste, it all has a negative impact on our planet. In fact, we throw away at least 25% more trash during the period between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day than any other time of year. Don't let waste dampen your holiday spirit. Environment America is inviting our community of members and supporters to learn how to reduce waste during the holidays. Join us for "Waste less, celebrate more" on Wednesday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET. The event will include guidance on how to protect the environment while celebrating this holiday season with our panel of experts from Environment America and PIRG. We'll also be sharing tips to reduce all types of common holiday waste, from wasteful packaging and gift wrapping to food, technology and clothing waste. Bring your own environmentally-friendly traditions to share, and invite others to learn and join the celebration. Wishing you all the best this holiday season, Lisa Frank Your donation will be used to support all of our campaigns to protect the environment, from saving the bees and protecting public lands, to standing up for clean water and fighting climate change. None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. |
