Hi John,
One of the number one things we hear from first-time candidates is: “I’m ready to run, but I don’t know how to win.”
Often, the knowledge and resources for building a strong campaign require political connections or money to hire consultants. That means low-income folks, political newcomers, and others from marginalized communities are being left behind before they even get going.
At Run for Something, we have been dedicated from the beginning to evening the playing field and knocking down the barriers that have kept diverse voices out of elected office. That’s where our 2020 Armchair Chats come in.
Every Wednesday for the remainder of the Summer, Run for Something is hosting resourceful interviews with some of the best campaign practitioners in the nation. Completely for free.
Because we believe that in order to build permanent power for Democrats in all 50 states, candidates, activists, and grassroots supporters need to learn how to build a winning campaign, regardless of how much money or insider access they might have.
And it's working. Our first two Armchair Chats had close to 100,000 people watch EACH interview, and they left with smart, specific information and tactics needed to run strong campaigns.
While we're hosting these programs for free, they're not without cost. That's why we're reaching out today. Can you help us continue equipping first-time candidates with the resources they need to win by chipping in $5 or more now?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
When we first set out to create an apparatus for first-time candidates to tap into and grow from, we knew we'd need to make it as accessible and user-friendly as possible.
And our Armchair Chats are an important piece of the puzzle.
We're laying the foundation for thousands of everyday people to join our chats, where they'll learn about the road in front of them and what it takes to go the distance.
If you can, help continue our work and empower young progressives to run for something and win. Chip in $5, or whatever you can, to keep our Armchair Chats running through the summer.
Thank you,
Amanda Litman
