That’s the latest lie from White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. It comes after her boss, President Trump, faced criticism for threatening to cut funding to schools who don’t open at his request -- but it’s far from the first mistruth she’s told America on Trump’s behalf.
McEnany assured us all in February that we wouldn’t have to worry about “diseases like the coronavirus [coming] here,” saying it might be a bigger concern if we were still under the “awful presidency of Barack Obama.”
Trump’s inability to protect us from pandemics the same way Obama did is, ironically, the exact reason Democrats now want to protect students and teachers from forced re-opening.
