This proves what we already knew: We can’t take Colorado for granted just because Democrats won the last few elections here. The only reason we won those races is because a whole lot of committed supporters just like you stepped up when we needed it most and helped Democrats get across the finish line.

Don’t forget, Colorado is home to some of the most extreme Republicans in Congress. And we had a Republican senator before John Hickenlooper flipped the seat blue in 2020 – even after Republicans spent nearly $50 MILLION to defeat him. Now that Republicans see a path to winning statewide again in Colorado, we’re bound to see an influx of spending against us.

Democrats have virtually no path to retaking Senate control in 2026 or in 2028 if we lose hold of John Hickenlooper’s seat in Colorado, so we can’t afford to slip up or let our opponents catch us off guard. The stakes are just too high.
