Patriot,

I want to share something personal with you. 

I REALLY HOPE YOU’LL TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS MESSAGE, AND BY THE
TIME YOU FINISH, YOU’LL CHIP IN TO HELP OUT. [1]

At just 8 years old, I was kidnapped from my home in Ohio and taken to
Iraq. Trapped under Saddam Hussein’s brutal regime with no rights,
no voice, and no way out, I learned what it meant to lose your freedom
overnight.

But thanks to the courage of the FBI, our American troops, and my
mother, I was able to finally make it back home to America. Before I
learned the value of freedom, I now saw the value of real, dedicated
service, even in the midst of danger. 

I PROMISED MYSELF THAT IF THIS COUNTRY EVER NEEDED ME, I WOULD STAND
UP AND SERVE. 

Then 9/11 struck, and as the country was gripped with fear, I
remembered my promise and joined the Air Force. And for over 20 years,
I served, deployed, protected Americans abroad, and defended the very
freedoms I once had taken from me. I even went back to Iraq, not as a
captive this time, but to try and bring freedom to others.

Now I’m running for Congress because those freedoms are being
chipped away again: this time by weak leadership here at home. And
after 43 YEARS in Washington, Marcy Kaptur has forgotten what service
looks like.

I HAVEN’T.

I’VE DEDICATED MY LIFE TO SERVICE.

That’s why it tears me up to see what has happened to Northwest Ohio
under Marcy Kaptur.

A NOTE FROM ALEA NADEEM

I love America — not just because I was born here, but because I
know what it’s like to live without freedom.

When I was only 8 years old, I was taken from my home in Ohio and left
behind in Iraq to live under Saddam Hussein’s brutal regime.

OVERNIGHT, I LOST THE FREEDOMS SO MANY OF US TAKE FOR GRANTED AND WAS
FORCED TO LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE WOMEN HAD NO RIGHTS, SPEAKING OUT
COULD COST YOU YOUR LIFE, AND YOUR FUTURE WAS NOT YOUR OWN.

When I finally made it back to America at 12 years old, I promised
myself I would give back to the country that never stopped fighting
for me. That’s why, after 9/11, I joined the Air Force. 

For over 20 years, I have served this country in the Air Force and
rose to become a lieutenant colonel. I protected America’s interests
abroad, advised senior military leaders, and defended the freedoms too
many take for granted.

NOW, I’M TAKING THAT FIGHT TO WASHINGTON, AND YOUR DONATION OF ANY
